“The Pile is not a rotisserie chicken nor a frog, but a loose depiction of my soul/spirit/life. The Pile’s eyes are always closed and its little donut-like mouth often in a frown - nodding at the facts of pain and ignorance in human life. Its only outfit is a thong + high heels. Booty out forever, the Pile is comfy in its skin and free of all self-doubts. I created it first in 2009 in college through various games of “Exquisite Corpse” and I’ve been drawing, painting, graffiti-ing, sculpting and animating it in various forms ever since. This little plump, neckless gender-less critter allows me to express myself and is a vehicle with which to move my ideas & experiences to external visual language in hopes that it resonates with others.”
